Blackbeard's
Dagger was completed on September 17, 1999 in Key West, Florida
and presented to its owner on his boat at sunset that day. As
it happened it was my good fortune (or perhaps a little bit of
magic) that when the box was opened, the rays of the sun came
through the cabin window and set the diamonds and sapphires afire.

The completed
dagger is 7-1/2" long and and may be disassembled to form
an earring and pendant set (see following pages). The framework
of the dagger is 14K rose gold and the inserts are solid 24K
gold. The blade is black jade. The removable sections are set
with sapphires, yellow diamonds, and black-green natural color
South Seas pearls.
