The
Legend of the Conch
"Those who wear
the conch," they say, "will return to Key West again
someday."
The magnificent
Queen Conch, strombus gigas, has long been considered
a symbol of good luck by sailors and travelers. So indestructible
is this beautiful shell that, no matter how it is tossed and
uprooted by the stormy sea, it always returns home to graze placidly
in the seagrass shallows from whence it came. As such, the conch
has become not only a symbol of strength and endurance

against
the sea, but against all the storms of life.
Local jewelry craftsman, Whitfield Jack, has created his exquisitely
designed Key West Conch as a tribute to this Island and to all
who visit it. He hopes that the Legend of the Conch will capture
you with its spell and bring you back someday.
